Tools to Save Our Home Planet, book launch and celebration of grassroots activism

About this Event

We’re thrilled to invite you to celebrate the release of A Changemaker's Guidebook: Tools to Save Our Home Planet, published by Patagonia – a bold, heart-led book celebrating people-powered solutions to the climate crisis.

Celebrate Together in Community

Set in the green heart of Energy Garden HQ, this event brings together community members, youth leaders, contributors, and partners to celebrate shared hope, purpose, and climate action.

Energy Garden is proud to be featured in A Changemaker's Guidebook: Tools to Save Our Home Planet as a case study of grassroots action – from seed to solar to society. As a community benefit society, we've spent over a decade building programmes that are both socially and environmentally impactful.

This launch is a moment to honour that journey and connect it to a broader global movement for change. Whether you're new or a long-time friend, you're warmly welcomed into this growing movement.

🌱 Workshop (4–6 PM)
Hands-on sessions and conversations with the people behind the stories – a space to learn, connect, and get involved. Expect garden tours, community-led learning, and space for new voices (including youth trainees!).

🎉 Celebration (6 PM onwards)
Home-brew beer, cob oven-fired pizza, homemade ice cream, joyful conversations, music, and an atmosphere of deep collective pride. We’ll hear from inspiring speakers (to be announced), enjoy DJ sets into the evening, and celebrate the local actions fuelling global change.

About the Book

The need for activism is more urgent than ever before and the risks are greater, too.

Activism has always required clear goals, smart strategy, and careful preparation. Today, those skills are more vital than ever as powerful forces resist the urgent changes needed to slow the climate crisis and keep Earth liveable for future generations.

This book brings together hard-won insights from activists working in today’s volatile world. It’s a go-to guide for anyone driving change — a primer for newcomers and a fresh resource for seasoned activists. Designed to be used, marked up, and passed around, it’s a practical and inspiring companion to the environmental and justice movements we so urgently need as a society.

This ismore than a book launch. It’s a coming together – to reconnect, recharge, and remember why we do this work.

This event is proudly supported by Patagonia.

👉 RSVP on Eventbrite now to join us – we can’t wait to welcome you.
