Agamemnon Otero, MBE
FOUNDER & CEO
Agamemnon is Director & CEO of Energy Garden, and Director of Brixton Energy Solar cooperative. He co-founded and was CEO of Repowering London for 8 years then, co-founded industry advocacy body Community Energy England and advised the UK government on community energy policy. In 2014, he was made a London Leader; in 2016, he was awarded an MBE for services to community energy; and in 2017, he was named one of the 51 Most Impactful Green Leaders globally by CSR Congress. Previously, he was Director for Renewable Energy Project Finance and Social Responsibility at a financial institution.

Martin Sedgwick
COO
Martin has over 20 years’ consulting experience across financial markets and sustainability. Most recently, Martin worked as Commercial Director for Northern Europe at EcoAct, supporting large corporate clients in their transition towards Net Zero. Throughout his career, Martin has specialised on delivering organisational, technology, regulatory and strategic change for clients including HSBC, Natwest Group, Bunzl plc, Spectris plc, European Investment Bank Group. Martin holds a MSc in Global Energy and Climate Policy (Distinction) from SOAS, University of London

Leila Fortunato
SENIOR EDUCATION COORDINATOR
Leila has over 17 years' experience working in the education sector as a Teacher of Geography and HIstory, Co-ordinator of KS3 History, Head of Humanities and History Lead across a number of East London Schools. She has been a volunteer Director of Banister House Solar, London's largest Community owned solar panel project on social housing, since 2014. She is the Founder of Black British Studies, an online school specialising in delivering diverse and inclusive webinars, workshops and flexible online courses to adults and children.

Sian Palmer
YOUTH TRAINING COORDINATOR
Sian Palmer is the Energy Garden Youth Training Coordinator and Lead Facilitator. She has worked across Africa and the UK focusing on gender and race and brings her skills in group facilitation with her background in Drama and Movement Therapy (MA University of London).

Anna Crispino
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
Anna is a recent graduate with a BA Hons in Geography and Economics and is now working as a Community Engagement Officer at Energy Garden. She hopes to continue to pursue a career in the non-profit sector and an MA with a focus on sustainability and urban planning in the future.

Beatrice Dandy
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER & HORTICULTURAL LEAD
Beatrice grew up and worked on an organic teaching farm in rural Ontario. She has grown food her whole life and has taught children, adults, and aspiring farmers how to grow their own food and start their own farms. Beatrice holds a BA in Urban Studies from Concordia University. Both her studies and farming experience have given her insight into the importance of strengthening urban food literacy, building green spaces that are relevant to the community, and increasing biodiversity within the city.

Ellen Bidulka
BIODIVERSITY LEAD
Ellen recently completed Imperial College London’s MSc Environmental Technology programme. Her thesis project was done in collaboration with Energy Garden, working to trial a method of quantifying the biodiversity effects of urban gardening initiatives. Prior to this, Ellen completed a BSc at McGill University in Biology with a specialisation in biodiversity and systematics. Following her graduation, Ellen spent a summer living at McGill University’s Gault Nature Reserve as a research intern completing fieldwork and trail maintenance projects. She then held various positions at WWF-Canada in donor relations and fundraising prior to moving to London in 2021.

Callum Clancy
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
Callum is interested in the conditions and spaces which empower strangers to come together, collaborate and communicate. He completed his MSc in Sustainable Urbanism from The Bartlett; and previously studied BA Politics, Economics & Philosophy at Goldsmiths, UOL. Similarly, experiences as a chef and as a freelance gardener in London have impressed upon him the importance of connecting people in cities to nature, to the food they eat, and to their local community.

Silas Creighton
COMMUNITY TREES LEAD
Silas is committed to developing creative responses to the 21st century needs of people in the city. He has spent a decade working in the Canadian forestry industry, lead research on human and environmental rights campaigns, and worked with communities to create thriving green spaces in London. Combining extensive experience in landscape regeneration with a background in urban planning, Silas is interested in providing communities with the tools needed to become stewards of their local environments.

Juan Pablo Lobo-Guerrero Villegas
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
Juan Pablo is an ecologist and environmental anthropologist from Colombia. He is interested in the two-way relationship between ecological and social restoration, using gardens as spaces to build community and foster relationships with more-than-human beings and developing a sense of belonging. He's worked in plant ecology research and has experience and interest in developing projects with communities typically excluded from outdoor spaces.

Brandon Lynch
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
Growing up on a productive farm in Ireland, Brandon has always had an attachment to nature and its place within the human ecosystem. With a background in International Relations, Brandon studied an MSc in Climate Change Politics, Policy and Society in 2022, followed by a Diploma in Practical Horticulture in 2024. These studies helped him gain an intersectional understanding of climate vulnerabilities and adaptation. Professional experiences in youth social care and the NGO sector have put community regeneration and empowerment at the forefront of his ambitions.

Selvia Diwanty
COMMUNICATIONS AND EVENTS OFFICER
Selvia is a multidisciplinary designer, urban planner, and sustainability strategist from Indonesia. She holds an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from UCL, with research on convivial biocultural governance, exploring the role of Indigenous ecological knowledge. She works at the intersection of storytelling, placemaking, and collective action to build more inclusive relationships with nature. Her approach is shaped by experience in community engagement, rewilding, and environmental stewardship across London, Bogotá, and Indonesia.
