Brondesbury Park Biodiversity Week Session

As Part of the Energy Garden’s Biodiversity Week

17 May - Brondesbury Park Station 12:30 - 14:30

Citizen Science and Habitat Improvements

As part of Biodiversity Week we will be doing our part to contribute to important citizen science projects. These include the Natural History Museum’s Nature Overheard survey and the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme’s Flower Insect Timed (FIT) survey. As always, participants will also be encouraged to submit observations to iNaturalist to contribute to Energy Garden’s biodiversity data collection efforts. We will also be planting seedlings in the garden to boost plant species diversity as well as incorporating new animal habiats in the garden.

How to Participate?

1.     RSVP so we know you’re coming

2. Download the apps iNaturalist and Seek by iNaturalist and create an account

3.     Join the Energy Garden Biodiversity 2024 Project on iNaturalist

4.     On the day, we will go through how to use the apps together and have extra resources to help with identification – no prior expertise is needed!

If you are interested, there are also some great online resources and tutorials for how to use them as well which can be found here: iNaturalist FAQs | Seek User Guide

The session will be led by our Biodiversity Lead Ellen. Please email ellen@energygarden.org.uk if you have any further questions.
